Catherine tosses the umbrella to the side and leans over the bar to grab a green olive and toothpick. Stabbing the green olive she puts it in the martini. The succubus puts the drink to her mouth taking a couple sips then setting it down.

This bartender wasn’t exactly the best, but at least she’d be fun to mess with tonight. Until she’d have to take her shift with Vincent, oh how she adored to do that.

“I don’t believe so. I’d recognize your hair anywhere.” Catherine jokes, and then again takes a sip of her martini. “I mean, it’s out there. Don’t you think?”

Catherine started trailing the top of the glass while leaning on one arm.

Erica took a step back as she watches the blonde grabs an olive from the small bowl. As she watches her actions, which was rather rude she might add, she took a mental note of the dos and don’ts of bar-tending. Although, she wasn’t really planning to make this her future career. She rolls her eyes then rubs the back of her neck.

“My hair…” she lightly pick up a few strands between her index finger and thumb, trying to take a quick glance at it before letting it go and shift her gaze back at teh blonde. “Well, you see, it’s known that red is the color that most people are attracted to. Why else would they make stop signs ‘red’?” She giggles towards the end of her sentence. “Besides, I’ve been told that red suits me.” Though, she’ll never admit that the only person who had actually told her that was Toby. Such a naive yet adorable boy.

“Hm, well, guess since we never met, it’s best if we introduce ourselves instead of remaning as strangers,” She extends her hand towards the blonde, “Erica Anderson.”

Vera (Firefly cocktail)

Ingredients:
2 oz. Bourbon whiskey
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151
1/2 oz. Sake
3/4 oz ginger syrup
3-4 dashes Angostura Bitters

Instructions for Ginger Syrup:
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup fresh diced Ginger
In a pot or large pan, add the water, sugar, and half of the ginger in the beginning. Boil for 1-2 minutes while mixing. Then add the other half once the first batch gets mushy. This makes it nice and spicy. Let sit until everything is nice and syrupy, then remove from the stove and let cool.

Directions: Add ginger syrup and bitters to an Old Fashioned Glass. Next add the rum and whiskey. Fill with cubed ice then float the Sake on top. Before drinking, give the glass a quick swirl to lightly distribute Sake.

I figured if Jane would drink a cocktail, it would be one of the original and manliest of cocktails, and Old-Fashion. But in the Firefly universe, American and Chinese cultures have mixed, so I felt it needed an Asian twist. This is where the ginger syrup and Sake comes in. The Bacardi 151 bumps the manliness factor of this drink up by giving a much higher alcohol content, plus the Bacardi gives an extra spicy, smokey flavor. Enjoy yourself a Vera.

While leaning on one arm Catherine examines the red head female. It was a bit confusing when she put it into place. This human scented like a male born, but was a female? Oh how they confused her, but it was her job to seduce them.

“It’s pretty late isn’t it? I thought you guys closed soon?” Catherine traced her fingers around the bar finally resorting her gaze down away from the waitress.

She was a bit peeved since she had expected Vincent to be here, but she didn’t really need that to get to her. She was going to show up randomly again at his house anyways wither he liked it or not.

The redhead gives a loud and almost exaggerated, sigh, shrugging her shoulders, then rolling her eyes. “Well, Boss thought we’ll get more money if we open later…damn stupid idea if you ask me,” She says while pouring the mix pink liquid into a tiny martini glass cup. It wasn’t as fancy as how Boss would make it but at least she tried to make it look decent by adding a miniature paper umbrella on it. Hopefully, it doesn’t taste too bad. It’s not often that she has to make the drinks around here.

“Here,” She says, sliding the small cup to her. She leans forward and rest her elbows on the counter, eyes staring curiously at the blonde as she dully look around the area.

Who exactly is this girl, she thought to herself, tilting her head to one side. Her brows furrow together as she ponders on this mystery woman.

“Hey, have we met before?” She had to asks.

She noticed the lack of Female clients but then again she wasn’t exactly a female the whole day..So he had to think for a bit and look at the time. 5:58
“A-Ah Yeah a cola light would be definitely good!”She chuckled a little bit and she had to wonder how to transform without people noticing around 6:00

Erica blinks momentarily at the order. “A…cola light?” She repeated. It was not that often that someone would order a non-alcoholic drink. Nevertheless, she wrote it down on her notepad and smiles.

“Trying to maintain your weight or something,” She laughs, adding a small wink. “I know how that is. Well, have a seat and I’ll see if we have some in stock, ‘kay?” She gestures her hands towards one of the stools on the counter.

The blonde succubus enters the bar, Vincent no where in sight. Neither was Thomas. Catherine knew it really wouldn’t hurt her to have Erica see her for this one time, hell she could act like she was an illusion all this time.

“Strawberry Martini please.” Her words escaped her mouth fluently. She lifted up a finger to emphasized what she wanted and sat at the bar crossing one leg over another.

The red head sits on one of the stools of the bar. She heaves a sigh and toss the ragged towel on the wooden table. She had just finish cleaning up a mess a few customers had left on one of the booths.

Sometimes, she wish that she gets paid more for the things she does for Boss, thought to herself. While stretching her neck, she hears the door chime open and a sweet little voice enters her ears.

She flickers her eyes at a very well-figured blonde. The red head couldn’t help but gawk at this strange woman. She never thought she’ll see the day of someone wearing a lingerie dress out in the open like this…though something about was familiar. She blinks once when she heard the blonde’s order.

“O-oh! Right! A martini…um, I’ll get that for you in a sec.” She says, rising on her feet and swinging behind the counter to prepare the drink.

Leona looked at the person and smiled
“Oh Hey there! I’m Leo-I-I mean Leona. Nice to meet you!”
She had to look at the time aswell it was 5:36AM for her so probably she would’ve changed back to her normal self soon.

Luckily for her, being this early in the morning, there wasn’t much customers hanging out the bar: Stray Sheep. While sitting on one of the stools, she shifts her gaze at a new customer and beam a smile.

“Hey there! I’m Erica!” The redhead waves at her.

“H-How are you doing today?”
It was rather strange of her to hang out at a bar this early but in this case it didn’t really matter as much.”O-Oh I s-should take an order right!?”
She smiled a bit funny and looked at the list of drinks maybe something non-alcoholic might do the job better for in the morning.

The redhead gives a light chuckle before standing on her feet and giving her back a quick stretch. It’s kind of rare to see a someone of the same sex in the bar, well, with the exception of the two elderly twin of course.

She whips out her notepad and a pen from her front pocket of her apron and stare patiently at the female.

“So what do you want? Don’t worry if it anything too difficult, I’m sure Boss can whip something up.”

The bar’s ray of sunshine, bringing warm smiles and cold drinks to her customers. Erica is the waitress at the Stray Sheep. A friendly sort, she often joins in the conversations of her customers. She, Vincent, Jonny, and Orlando all grew up together, and she always makes a point of stopping by their table and sharing the latest gossip. She’s aware of Toby’s crush on her, and she’s more than a little amused by his puppy love.

The redhead tilts her head, placing a finger on her chin while resting her other hand on her hips. Ash brown eyes glimpsing upward.

“Hm…well, Dinosaurs are pretty old and kind of dangerous, you know. I think Robots are so much better. Imagine the things it can do? Hell, if I can convince Boss to get one than I don’t have to serve costumers anymore.” She says with a laugh.

Ingredients:
Captain America-
Grenadine
Blue curacao
Blueberry schnapps

Iron Man-
Grenadine
Blue curacao
Black Heart spiced rum

Thor-
Wild Turkey American Honey
Citrus Vodka

Hawkeye-
Grape Pucker
Captain Morgan: Tattoo

The Hulk:
Grape Pucker
Absinthe (NV Absinthe Verte used)

Directions: For all shots, layer the ingredients in the order given (except for Thor, which should be stirred). If all the ingredients are chilled, it should be very easy to layer them.

A note from the creators and the ‘shot challenge’ explanation:

Happy Avengers Day one and all!! So the trick here is they get stronger the further you go down the list. We have the order very carefully placed and drinks carefully crafted to embody the heroes. We are using the movie universe avengers even though we are aware they were not the first avengers.

Captain America:

Doctor erskine was going to share blueberry schnapps with him, but he couldn’t have it. Also due to the advanced tissues on his organs he can’t get drunk, hence this shot is the weakest.

Iron man:

Tony stark has battled on and off with alcoholism so his tolerance for alcohol is high hence the high proof rum, yet he tries to not drink hence the grenadine to dilute the alcohol.

Thor:

He is a god. He drinks after battle and can handle his alcohol, yet human alcohol seems to affect him more hence he is the middle.

Hawkeye:

Just a normal human with unbelievable accuracy with all fire arms, bow being his weapon of choice. (p.s. Unlike the trailers we here at EXPbaronline do support Hawkeye and think he is bad ass)

Hulk:

He’s the Hulk, and as he so eloquently has stated in the past, “HULK AM THE STRONGEST THERE IS!!!!!” hence he is last.

So there you have it the avengers shot challenge. Enjoy.

Drink of the Colossus (Shadow of the Colossus cocktail)

Ingredients:
The Colossus-
12 oz. Guinness
12 oz. Apple cider
6 oz. Blueberry ale

The Wanderer-
.75 oz. Brandy
.75 oz. Grenadine

Directions: The Colossus is a modified Black Velvet with an added blueberry kick. Instead of layering the beers, mix all of them in a 32 oz. mug. Mix the brandy and grenadine in a shot glass, for the Wanderer. Climb the Colossus and drop in the Wanderer shot. Consume the mixture and transform yourself.
